Paul Derreumaux is a board member of Cauris Management. He founded the BANK OF AFRICA (BOA) group in 1982 in Mali. The BOA group is now present in 14 sub-Saharan African countries and, since 2010, in France, the year he stepped down as Chairman and CEO of the group. The BOA network then comprised 14 commercial banks, a finance company, a housing bank, a brokerage firm, two investment companies, an asset management company and a finance company in Paris.
Paul Derreumaux's experience in the insurance sector and his vision enabled him to pioneer bancassurance in French-speaking West Africa in the mid-2000s, through a capital alliance between the BOA group and the Colina group. He served on the boards of the Cauris Investissement and Cauris Croissance funds.
Paul Derreumaux brings 30 years of experience in the financial sector in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in West Africa. He is:
- a director and chairman of various financial institutions in Africa and Europe, and of the investment fund I&P Developpement (IPDEV);
- a member of the strategic committee of Amethis Finance;
- Chairman of the investment company Agora Holding.
